Middle School: The Worst Years of My Life is a safe and harmless film mainly for families however for anyone older, the jokes don’t quite land though I’d be lying if I didn’t say it was mildly entertaining.

VIDEO – 4.0/5 |
Lionsgate releases Middle School: The Worst Years of My Life is presented in its original 2.39 widescreen aspect ratio and a 1080p high-definition transfer. As one would imagine, being a comedy, colors are bright throughout and skin tones appear natural looking while detail is relatively sharp and nicely defined. |
AUDIO – 4.25/5 |
The movie comes with a standard DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 track which sounds good especially whenever the top 100 songs pipe in (like “Cake by the Ocean”), it envelopes the entire room quite nicely. Besides that, dialogue levels did sound crisp and clean but it’s a limited track given, like the vide, it’s a comedy. |
OVERALL – 3.0/5 |
Overall, Middle School: The Worst Years of My Life is a safe and harmless film mainly for families however for anyone older, the jokes don’t quite land though I’d be lying if I didn’t say it was mildly entertaining. The Blu-ray released by Lionsgate offers up good video/audio transfers and some so-so bonus material. |
