Impractical Jokers: The Complete Fourth Season is pretty much up to snuff with its previous three seasons with even more, and sometimes, awkward challenges/skits that from the first episode, in Miami, had me laughing for a second time.

THE SEASON — 4.0/5

“Prepare for something amazing!”

“Impractical Jokers”, one of TruTV’s headline shows, is consistently funny and even sometimes awkward as four lifelong friends, Joe Gatto, James Murray, Brian Quinn and Sal Vulcano, attempt to one up each other with challenges and via hidden cameras, witness the laughter and humiliation over the course of 26 episodes.

That’s the set-up, quick and easy.

I’ve watched the show since its inception and every episode offers something new and one of the reasons the series continues to work is seeing these four friends and in all likelihood, one or more of them will remind you have either yourself or your own best friends.

SPECIAL FEATURES – 1.5/5

The 4-disc set comes housed in a standard DVD case and side slides into a matted slip cover.. Inside is an episode guide. On the disc are some Deleted Scenes, a Blooper Reel and some 100th Episode Promos. Gone are the days of episode commentaries I’m afraid.

VIDEO – 4.0/5, AUDIO – 3.5/5

Impractical Jokers: The Complete Fourth Season is released via Warner Brothers presented in an anamorphic widescreen transfer which more or less matches what aired. The Dolby Digital 2.0 track isn’t great but serviceable enough providing clear dialogue levels.

OVERALL – 3.25/5

Overall, Impractical Jokers: The Complete Fourth Season is pretty much up to snuff with its previous three seasons with even more, and sometimes, awkward challenges/skits that from the first episode, in Miami, had me laughing for a second time. As far as this DVD release goes, it’s a tad weak with some below average features while the video and audio transfers are OK.
