War Room is the latest of the growing faith-based films and although they’re not really my thing, those of faith probably will get something out of it and maybe find it entertaining. For myself, the acting is so-so (at best) and the writing isn’t the best.

PLOT SYNOPSIS |
War Room is a faith drama filled with humor and heart. Tony (T.C. STALLINGS) and Elizabeth (PRISCILLA SHIRER) Jordan have it all — great jobs, a beautiful daughter, and their drama house. But appearances can be deceiving. Their world is actually crumbling under the strain of a failing marriage. While Tony basks in his professional success and flirts with temptation, Elizabeth resigns herself to increasing bitterness.
Their lives take an unexpected turn when Elizabeth meets her newest client, Miss Clara (KAREN ABERCROMBIE), and is challenged to establish a “war room” and a battle plan of prayer for her family. As Elizabeth tries to fight for her family, Tony’s hidden struggles come to fight. Tony must decide if he will make amends with his family and prove Miss Clara’s wisdom that victories don’t come by accident. |

VIDEO – 4.0/5 |
War Room is presented in its original 2.40 widescreen aspect ratio and a 1080p high-definition transfer. For the most part the film looks fine with bright, cheery colors, decent to good detail and no major issues with artifacts or aliasing. |
AUDIO – 4.0/5 |
The movie comes with a 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio track which provides for clear and crisp dialogue levels, well rounded depth making use of most of the channels especially in regards to the soundtrack and score. It’s nothing overly noteworthy but serviceable for a drama. |
OVERALL – 2.5/5 |
Overall, War Room is the latest of the growing faith-based films and although they’re not really my thing, those of faith probably will get something out of it and maybe find it entertaining. For myself, the acting is so-so (at best) and the writing isn’t the best. The Blu-ray released by Sony offers good video/audio transfers and a fair number of bonus features. |
