“2 Broke Girls” has to be one of the worst comedies on television today and easily with this fourth season the bottom 10 of all-time. The main reason it’s still on television is for the eye candy Kat Dennings and Beth Behrs bring because it sure as heck not the jokes which I’d call it lazy but that would be giving the writers too much credit.

THE MOVIE – 1.5/5
Season Outline: Cupcake stores are crumbling all over Brooklyn, so low-rent entrepreneurs and BFFs Max (KAT DENNINGS) and Caroline (BETH BEHRS) must whip up new ways to keep their business budding. The girls try designing trendy tees, only to learn that the fashion industry is as fickle as the bakery biz. New side gigs in a chic Manhattan restaurant bring a fedw more bucks their way, as well as a few hookups and opportunities to make new friends. But no matter how broke these two girls get, the diner gang is there to lend a hand or crack a joke.
Quick Hit Review: When “2 Broke Girls” began I kind of tolerated it and actually chuckled a few times but now going on four seasons I could only laugh at just how god awful this show is. Not only is the acting subpar but the jokes are try way too hard and are just not funny. I can only think the reason the show remains on the air and gets the ratings it does is for the eye candy Kat Dennings (and her cleavage) and Beth Behrs provide because neither of their line deliveries work, though the writing doesn’t help matters, and there’s really not even heart to it where I could even care for either of these characters.

VIDEO – 4.0/5 | AUDIO – 3.5/5
“2 Broke Girls”: The Complete Fourth Season is presented with an anamorphic widescreen aspect ratio and displays bright colors throughout. The Dolby Digital 5.1 track is a bit too strong at times but effective enough.
AUDIO – 4.5/5
The 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio track is more than adequate for this movie. The dialogue sounds crisp and clear throughout but the track does kick into a second gear, no pun intended, for the more action-oriented scenes particularly the chase sequence where we hear the gear shifts in Louis’s Dodge Challenger car. The lossless track also has good depth making use of the rear channels for ambient noises and James Newton Howard’s haunting score.
OVERALL – 2.0/5
Overall, “2 Broke Girls” has to be one of the worst comedies on television today and easily with this fourth season the bottom 10 of all-time. The main reason it’s still on television is for the eye candy Kat Dennings and Beth Behrs bring because it sure as heck not the jokes which I’d call it lazy but that would be giving the writers too much credit. The DVD released by Warner is rather basic with minimal features and OK video/audio transfers.
