My Gal Sunday is another sweet Hallmark Channel movie where the script is washed down, dialogue trite and acting subpar. This is the kind of movie families (ages 12+ anyway) can enjoy but for everyone else it’s forgettable and throwaway entertainment. The DVD released by Cinedigm offers OK video and audio transfers but with no features.

When their parents are taken hostage by a vengeful kidnapper looking for justice for the wrongful murder conviction of his brother, the duo must work together to uncover the clues that will save their parents’ lives – and put their own on the line.

SPECIAL FEATURES – 0/5

No features were included.

VIDEO – 4.0/5 | AUDIO – 3.75/5

My Gal Sunday arrives on DVD with a 1.78 anamorphic widescreen transfer that looks adequate with no major instances of artifacting.

The disc also includes a standard Dolby Digital 5.1 track where the audio tends to be heavy-handed at times but dialogue is mostly clear and the soundtrack shines through during the right key moments.

OVERALL – 2.25/5

Overall, My Gal Sunday is another sweet Hallmark Channel movie where the script is washed down, dialogue trite and acting subpar. This is the kind of movie families (ages 12+ anyway) can enjoy but for everyone else it’s forgettable and throwaway entertainment. The DVD released by Cinedigm offers OK video and audio transfers but with no features, it’s easy to see why the MSRP is so low.
