Looper is an inventive sci-fi action thriller with two solid performances from Willis and Gordon-Levitt. The DVD has some decent features though the Blu-ray apparently has more to offer. Unfortunately we were only provided a DVD screener, so I cannot state how much more there is or the quality of either the features or the audio/video transfers.

THE MOVIE
Plot Outline: In this futuristic action-thriller, time travel has been invented, but it’s illegal and only available on the black market. When the mob wants to get rid of someone, they send their target 30 years into the past, where a “looper” – a hired gun, like Joe (JOSEPH GORDON-LEVITT) – is waiting to mop up. Joe is getting rich and life is good… until the day the mob decides to “close the loop,” sending back Joe’s future self (BRUCE WILLIS) for assassination.

The DVD has a fine 2.40 widescreen anamorphic widescreen with minimal artifacting and for the audio, a standard but suitable Dolby Digital 5.1, has been provided.
OVERALL – 3.0/5
