The Hearse has its moments but the combination of horror, supernatural, romance and mystery, didn’t quite gel for me, however actress Trish Van Devere does deliver for the type of movie this is.
Sure Malibu High is the typical silly 1970s sex comedy and on that level, it might be worthwhile watching amongst friends to mock, but outside of that, not sure there’s really any reason unless that era, and ultra low budget films, fascinates you.
Witchtrap is kind of your prototypical 1980s supernatural horror flick that has its moments though only enjoyable for its silliness and hackneyed acting, but there’s an audience for it and you can’t go wrong with it.
Count Dracula’s Great Love is another poor adaptation from the 1970s and in spite of a respectable enough performance by Paul Naschy, there were far more unintentionally funny scenes instead of scary. This would probably serve well as a Saturday night flick to watch, and mock, with friends.
Murder Weaponand Deadly Embrace are laughable erotic thrillers but I’d be lying if I was entertained by just how bad both were in just about every respect from the editing, acting and writing. If you’re a fan of the low budget 1980s flicks, both might hit the right spot.
Nightmare Sisters is a fun, if not silly, supernatural horror film with some, let’s say, questionable acting and shoddy script work, yet it’s the epitome of the 1980s B-movie and for that, I have at least some minor respect for it.
Deathrow Gameshow is a silly (ok, really dumb) movie that doesn’t really work on much of any level, though I guess in some ways it’s a predictor of the state of reality television today. The acting isn’t any good and the writing isn’t much better either.
Evils of the Night is your typical but fun cheesy 1980s sci-fi/horror film with some questionable acting (not sure what Julie Newmar was doing in this), laughable dialogue and some lovely T&A any boy growing up during that era would’ve enjoyed.
