Director Alan Parker\u2019s Mississippi Burning<\/em><\/strong> tells the real-life tale of three young Civil Rights workers murdered in deep South Mississippi focusing on the FBI agents (GENE HACKMAN and WILLEM DAFOE) who arrive to investigate the crime. The film also stars Frances McDormand and Brad Dourif with a screenplay by Chris Gerolmo, cinematography by Peter Biziou (Richard III<\/em>), and a score by Trevor Jones.<\/p>\n

Twilight Time releases Mississippi Burning<\/em><\/strong> onto Blu-ray with a 1080p high-definition transfer and presented in its original 1.85 widescreen aspect ratio. For the most part, it\u2019s a good looking picture with decent detail levels throughout but hardly perfect. There are some scenes heavy with grain, especially darker shots, and there were a few instances of dust marks, so not an entirely clean transfer either.

AUDIO \u2013 4.25\/5<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The movie comes with a DTS-HD Master Audio Stereo track which is actually rather strong providing for clear dialogue levels while the Trevor Jones\u2019 score gives the soundtrack some nice depth. Even with only two channels, there\u2019s some nice depth to it and there were no apparent hisses or other ailments.<\/p>\n
