Plot Outline:
\n<\/strong>Welcome to Camp New Horizons, where an autumn retreat brings together a group of obnoxious rich kids and surly city thugs for an \u201cexperiment in sharing.\u201d Under new inept management, this is the ideal setting for notorious psychopath Angela Baker (PAMELA SPRINGSTEEN) to join the camp and do what she does best \u2013 eliminating \u201cimmoral\u201d teenagers with everything from a knife to a lawnmower.<\/p>\n

Audio Commentary<\/u><\/strong> \u2013 Director Michael A. Simpson and Screenwriter Fritz Gordon, again moderated by John Klyza, offering up bits of information on the making of SC3<\/em>.<\/p>\n

A Tale of Two Sequels: Part Two (26:12; HD)<\/u><\/strong> continues on with more behind-the-scenes footage and new interviews with the filmmakers and cast. This one focuses on the third addition to the Sleepaway Camp<\/em> series.<\/p>\n

Behind the Scenes Footage (8:28; HD)<\/u><\/strong> provides some rare footage narrated by Simpson.<\/p>\n

Workprint of the Longer Cut (1:24:48; HD)<\/u><\/strong>, taken from a VHS copy, is culled of from various sources and is, to say the least, rough with missing dialogue and score. Makes you appreciate the work done on the theatrical version.<\/p>\n

Deleted Scenes (18:46; HD)<\/u><\/strong> \u2013 Here we get some additional scenes cut or removed.<\/p>\n

Home Video Trailer (2:38; HD)<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

Short Film: Tony Lives!<\/em> (1:10; HD)<\/u><\/strong> is a short with the original actor being pursued by a pesky documentarian.<\/p>\n

Shout Factory, through its Scream Factory subsidiary, releases Sleepaway Camp 3<\/em> <\/strong>onto Blu-ray presented in its original 1.85 widescreen aspect ratio and a 1080p high-definition transfer. As with the previous installment, I doubt the film elements were well kept so it\u2019s not half bad looking yet there\u2019s still a fair amount of dust marks and many scratches. There is a heavy amount of noise throughout but details are alright while colors seem to veer more toward the warm spectrum.

AUDIO \u2013 3.0\/5<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The movie gets a standard but adequate DTS-HD Master Audio Mono track which means everything is relegated to the center channel. Dialogue comes out the best, for the most part, being relatively clear though at times it can be muffled depending on the location. Outside of that, other aspects from the score to ambient noises to the blood-curdling screams are obviously flat. While it\u2019s not nearly an immersive lossless track, it\u2019s still effective enough and like the picture, probably never was better.<\/p>\n
