But in spite of its problems, the characters were likeable and the acting, for the most part, was good. Add to that some interesting cases and Patrick Jane\u2019s quirky mannerisms and behavior makes for both compelling drama and great comedy.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This seventh season, now with the Red John part concluded in the season six season finale, it was determined it would be its final season and probably it was the right time to exit. In all honesty \u2013 and this isn\u2019t a negative \u2013 but this season felt like a senior only a few days away from high school being over for good. The writing is at times a bit lazy and the introduction of one new character \u2014 replacing Wayne Rigsby (Owain Yeoman) and Grace Van Pelt (Amanda Righetti) \u2014 in Agent Michelle Vega (JOSIE LOREN) with computer wizard Jason Wylie (JOE ADLER) returning as does Special Agent Dennis Abbott (ROCKMOND DUNBAR) who is far more lenient with Patrick Jane compared with the CBI leaders in previous seasons.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>\u201cThe Mentalist\u201d<\/strong> might have been a flawed series, and although the seventh season doesn\u2019t have a lot great moments (save for one in the tenth episode), it\u2019s still a solid and entertaining season and fine farewell to its more ardent fans.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Episodes:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Nothing But Blue Skies<\/li>\n<li>The Greybar Hotel<\/li>\n<li>Orange Blossom Ice Cream<\/li>\n<li>Black Market<\/li>\n<li>The Silver Briefcase<\/li>\n<li>Green Light<\/li>\n<li>Little Yellow House<\/li>\n<li>The Whites of His Eyes<\/li>\n<li>Copper Bullet<\/li>\n<li>Nothing Gold Can Stay<\/li>\n<li>Byzantium<\/li>\n<li>Brown Shag Carpet\/White Orchids<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"*\" src=\"http:\/\/www.moviemansguide.com\/images\/main\/bar_blue.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"650\" height=\"3\" \/><\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>SPECIAL FEATURES \u2013 2.0\/5<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The 3-disc set is housed in a standard DVD case which side-slides into a <strong>slip cover<\/strong> in matching with previous season releases.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><u>Patrick Jane: An Uncommon Man (12:33)<\/u><\/strong> is a basic profile on the character played by Simon Baker.
