As one might expect, the picture quality is fairly dark in keeping with the horror aspects of the film however colors do have a good pop to them while detail levels are sharp and well defined. There were no obvious signs of aliasing or pixilation and darker shots were nicely stark making for an all around clean transfer.<br \/>\n<a name=\"audio\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" title=\"*\" src=\"http:\/\/www.moviemansguide.com\/images\/main\/bar_blue.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"650\" height=\"3\" \/><\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>AUDIO \u2013 4.5\/5<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The movie comes with a 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio track provides for nice depth from the blood-curdling screams from the Drownsman\u2019s victims to the atmospheric, if not clich\u00e9d, horror score by composer Stephanie Copeland as well as ambient noises including off-screen sounds. It might not rival the best out there even within the genre, but it\u2019s still an impressive lossless track that is rather dynamic.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" title=\"*\" src=\"http:\/\/www.moviemansguide.com\/images\/main\/bar_blue.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"650\" height=\"3\" \/><br \/>\n<a name=\"overall\"><\/a><br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/i.imgur.com\/RPi4Djw.png\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"border-screencapture aligncenter\" title=\"The Drownsman\" src=\"http:\/\/i.imgur.com\/RPi4Djw.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>OVERALL \u2013 3.0\/5<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Overall, <strong><em>The Drownsman<\/em><\/strong> actually isn\u2019t a bad movie but it\u2019s also pretty ordinary for the genre and certainly borrows from <em>Nightmare on Elm Street<\/em> without the memorable villain instead we get something akin to the Swamp Thing.
