The 1080p HD transfer, presented in the film\u2019s original 1.85 widescreen aspect ratio, might not come close to being demo worthy but still doesn\u2019t look horrible in the slightest. Colors tend to be a tad muted at times but detail, especially on the close-ups, are at least half decent but there are more than a few dust marks and heavy noise present throughout.<br \/>\n<a name=\"audio\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" title=\"*\" src=\"http:\/\/www.moviemansguide.com\/images\/main\/bar_blue.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"650\" height=\"3\" \/><\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>AUDIO \u2013 4.0\/5<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The DTS-HD Master Audio Mono track has its limits of course but considering it is a Woody Allen movie, you only need one channel. Dialogue levels tends to be crisp and clear and actually has a fair amount of depth for the war\/fight sequences but nothing outstanding, just effective for the genre (and filmmaker).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" title=\"*\" src=\"http:\/\/www.moviemansguide.com\/images\/main\/bar_blue.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"650\" height=\"3\" \/><br \/>\n<a name=\"overall\"><\/a><br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/i.imgur.com\/Zp9B47K.png\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"border-screencapture aligncenter\" title=\"Love and Death\" src=\"http:\/\/i.imgur.com\/Zp9B47K.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>OVERALL \u2013 3.0\/5<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Overall, <strong><em>Love and Death<\/em><\/strong> is one Woody Allen\u2019s more quirky outings but found his footing and voice with follow-ups including <em>Annie Hall<\/em> (1977) and <em>Manhattan<\/em> (1979), two of my all-time favorite Allen films (along with <em>Match Point<\/em>).
