Dustin Hoffman does an amazing job bringing the late, great and \u201ccontroversial\u201d (for his time) Lenny Bruce, deserving of his Academy Award nomination (though he had the unfortunate timing of going against so many greats like Nicholson and Al Pacino and losing to Art Carney). The picture features pretty stark black levels and surprisingly enough, doesn\u2019t show much in the way of dust marks or scratches. The detail level is relatively limited of course but on the whole, it\u2019s a fine transfer.<br \/>\n<a name=\"audio\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" title=\"*\" src=\"http:\/\/www.moviemansguide.com\/images\/main\/bar_blue.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"650\" height=\"3\" \/><\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>AUDIO \u2013 4.0\/5<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The DTS-HD Master Audio Mono track meanwhile is more than serviceable especially for a film that is dialogue-heavy. From the stand-up portions where we the proper mixture and depth (i.e. echoes) to the standard scenes which have crisp dialogue, it makes for a track that perfectly simulates the aural experience for this type of film (that is going on 40 years old).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" title=\"*\" src=\"http:\/\/www.moviemansguide.com\/images\/main\/bar_blue.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"650\" height=\"3\" \/><br \/>\n<a name=\"overall\"><\/a><br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/i.imgur.com\/LRAj3WH.png\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"border-screencapture aligncenter\" title=\"Lenny\" src=\"http:\/\/i.imgur.com\/LRAj3WH.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>OVERALL \u2013 3.75\/5<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Overall, <strong><em>Lenny<\/em><\/strong> is one of those movies propelled and almost entirely stands on the performance of its lead.
