SEASON SUMMARY<\/strong><\/h2>\n

\u201cDallas\u201d Season 3<\/strong> packs even more dramatic and emotional wallop than its predecessors when turmoil strikes Southfork. Scandal and treachery from every direction mean greater family divisions, along with tenuous alliances and diabolical double-crosses.<\/p>\n

John Ross (JOSH HENDERSON) continues to prove he’s J.R.’s son, become more cunning than his daddy ever was. He’s determined to seize control of the Ewing empire, setting his sights on global enery domination \u2013 and he’s not about to cut Christopher (JESSE METCALFE) and Bobby (PATRICK DUFFY) in on their share. Meanwhile, as if Elena (JORDANA BREWSTER) hasn’t done enough damage to her relationship with Christopher, she returns to Southfork with her own devious agenda. Sue Ellen (LINDA GREY) conspires to put the wedding plans for John Ross and Pamela (JULIE GONZALO) on ice when she uncovers the groom’s affair with Emma (EMMA BELL). Endless malefactions and unforseen twists and turns can only lead to one stunning conclusion…a Ewing will die.<\/p>\n

    \u201cDallas\u201d: The Complete Third Season<\/strong> comes to DVD presented with an anamorphic widescreen 1.78 aspect ratio and for the most part, colors are cheerful and bright and no major signs of artifacts or aliasing.<\/p>\n

    The Dolby Digital 5.1 track is more than serviceable providing for clear dialogue levels while the music\/soundtrack does offer good depth spread across each of the five channels.<\/p>\n

    OVERALL \u2013 3.0\/5<\/strong><\/h2>\n

    Overall, this revival of the \u201cDallas\u201d<\/strong> wasn\u2019t great but it offered solid entertainment in the form of primetime soap opera storylines and characters. The acting also was fine headed by Patrick Duffy and Josh Henderson with the rest holding their own. The DVD released by Warner is haphazard and unfortunately there are no bonus features while the audio and video transfers are both well done.<\/p>\n
