Bethany Hamilton Meets Winter (3:18; HD)<\/span><\/strong> is about the famous surfer and her cameo in the sequel.<\/p>\n

Dolphin Tale 2<\/span><\/em><\/strong>: The Mission (3:34; HD)<\/span><\/strong> is a promotional featurette on the mission of the aquarium in the rescue and rehab of the marine life.<\/p>\n

VIDEO \u2013 4.0\/5<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Dolphin Tale 2<\/em><\/strong> swims onto Blu-ray presented with a 1.78 widescreen aspect ratio and a 1080p high-definition transfer. The picture has a glossy look to it which doesn\u2019t translate well onto the small(er) screen with an almost made-for-TV vibe rather than anything theatrical quality. Even so, details aren\u2019t bad and colors tend to be vibrant in keeping with the family-oriented demo.<\/p>\n

AUDIO \u2013 4.25\/5<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Surprisingly, while Warner\u2019s own Gravity<\/em> received only a 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio track, for whatever reason this movie gets a 7.1 channel track which is overkill for sure, but still provides clear dialogue levels, some decent depth for the ambient noises and Rachel Portman\u2019s generic score comes through fairly well.<\/p>\n

OVERALL \u2013 3.0\/5<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Overall, Dolphin Tale 2<\/em><\/strong> is an unnecessary sequel but a harmless one with a wholesome message and something families will immensely enjoy especially young ones. The performances are pretty basic but having a couple respectable actors like Ashley Judd and Morgan Freeman helps elevate a thin script and predictable story. The Blu-ray released by Warner Home Video offers up good video\/audio transfers while the special features are mostly throwaway material.<\/p>\n
