THE MOVIE<\/strong> \u2013 0\/5<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Plot Outline: <\/strong>Two desperate dads compete in a no-holds-barred battle to be the best father and make this the best Christmas ever. Fun-loving, laid-back dad Larry (LARRY THE CABLE GUY) is having a bear of a time finding the perfect Christmas gift for this eight-year-old daughter, Noel (KENNEDI CLEMENTS). The season\u2019s hottest toy, the Harrison Bear, is all sold out, and Noel\u2019s new stepfather (BRIAN STEPANEK) wants to keep it that way \u2013 so he can be the one to make her holiday wish come true. When Larry learns all Noel wants for Christmas is the bear, he\u2019ll stop at nothing to make his little girl happy and get her the toy of her dreams.<\/p>\n

Quick Hit Review: <\/strong>It was only two-minutes into Jingle All the Way 2<\/em><\/strong> that I became angry. A few minutes later when \u201cMele Kalikimaka\u201d played over a scene (Larry singing offtune to it), I wept, tarnishing a great song I, and presumably most, closely associate with National Lampoon\u2019s Christmas Vacation<\/em>, the epitome of a Christmas classic which this one most certainly is not; in fact, the original is a classic by comparison.<\/p>\n

The problem with it, well one of many problems, is we get 90-minutes of Larry the Cable Guy more or less performing the same old schtick we\u2019ve seen before in numerous movies and shows including another DTV sequel, The Tooth Fairy 2<\/em>, a film that much like Jingle 2<\/em><\/strong>, made one appreciate the original, warts and all. This is just simply not a funny movie and more so, an annoying one to get through not only with LTCG but you get the precocious child who can\u2019t act.<\/p>\n

I cannot express how much I loathed this film and have to wonder who would greenlight such a thing. Also, that cover artwork doesn\u2019t come close to expressing how awful this was and in spite of a short running time, it\u2019s sure as heck feels a lot longer… For the love of Pete, skip this otherwise you\u2019re only encouraging more of these needless\/pointless DTV sequels…<\/p>\n

SPECIAL FEATURES \u2013 2.0\/5<\/strong><\/h2>\n

This release comes with a semi-glossy slip cover<\/strong>. Inside is a Digital Copy<\/strong><\/span> redemption code and a standard DVD Copy<\/strong><\/span>.<\/p>\n

Deleted Scenes (7:01; HD)<\/strong><\/span> \u2013 <\/strong>We get a few more gems that for some reason were tragically removed from the movie… What a shame.<\/p>\n

Christmas Catastrophes (4:17; HD)<\/strong><\/span> is a featurette on the mayhem and troubled featured in the film with some pointless cast\/crew interviews.<\/p>\n

Harrison the Bear TV Commercial (1:06; HD)<\/strong><\/span> is the ad for the toy bear.<\/p>\n

Santa Santino (3:29; HD)<\/strong><\/span> focuses on Santino Marella, the featured wrestler in this WWE Studios film.<\/p>\n

Christmas Wishes (4:58; HD)<\/strong><\/span> finds the cast and crew recounting their Christmas memories.<\/p>\n

Harrison the Bear: An Exclusive Interview (2:45; HD)<\/strong><\/span> \u2013 Oh for f***s sake. Stop it.<\/p>\n

Reindeer Riding at Roosters Tavern (3:47; HD)<\/strong><\/span> focuses on the scene were Larry the Cable Guy, dressed as Santa, rides a mechanical bull.<\/p>\n

Black Friday PSA (3:07; HD)<\/strong><\/span> on the chaos that is black Friday shopping.<\/p>\n

VIDEO \u2013 4.25\/5<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Jingle All the Way 2<\/em><\/strong> makes its way onto Blu-ray presented with a 1.78 widescreen aspect ratio and a 1080p high-definition transfer. The picture actually doesn\u2019t look half-bad and at least doesn\u2019t look cheap like some digitally filmed movies with sharp and clear detail levels and colors are appropriately cheerful and bright throughout.<\/p>\n

AUDIO \u2013 4.0\/5<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The movie comes with a 5.1 channel DTS-HD Master Audio track which is above average and serviceable providing for clear dialogue used mostly through the center channel while the choice Christmas music and some ambient noise is relegated to the front and rear speakers, with the latter a bit softer. It\u2019s not entirely an depth-filled track but just fine for this kind of material.<\/p>\n

OVERALL \u2013 1.0\/5<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Overall, Jingle All the Way 2<\/em><\/strong> is another unfunny \u201ccomedic\u201d vehicle for Larry the Cable Guy to do this schtick and I hated just about every minute of this movie. Simply put, it\u2019s another pointless DTV movie that\u2019s not in the least bit entertaining and I cannot stress enough to pass this one by, if only to save your soul. The Blu-ray unleashed upon the masses via hell, does have good audio\/video transfers while the bonus material is limited.<\/p>\n
