PLOT SUMMARY<\/strong><\/h2>\n

A young criminal defense attorney (TIMOTHY WOODWARD JR.) struggles with a homicide case that is not as cut-and-dried as it appears when the mob (led by VINNIE JONES) gets involved, and he quickly realizes that to keep himself and his client alive, he must work outside of the law. Also includes a B-plot of kidnap\/prostitution with a mid-level mobster (DANNY TREJO) leading the way.<\/p>\n

Quick Hit Review: Throwdown<\/em><\/strong> is a poorly made crime drama with a named supporting cast, in mostly cameos (for which Vinnie Jones and Danny Trejo are making a career out of nowadays), and drowns due to terrible acting by the director who, for whatever reason, thought could carry a film, although it\u2019s not as if the writing was any good. Yeah, so skip this turkey outright.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m fairly certain Throwdown<\/em><\/strong> was a low budget flick and it certainly looks it with soft focus at times and washed out colors throughout. Meanwhile, the Dolby Digital 5.1 track really sounds bad with sometimes muffled dialogue and the score, which itself is awful, is low in volume to go along with any other effects.

Instead we got some false advertising and an amateurish movie on the whole. The DVD released by Lionsgate has very average video and audio and the featurette is basic.<\/p>\n
