Aftermath<\/em><\/strong> arrives on Blu-ray presented with a 1080p high-definition transfer and for the most part, it looks OK but the day-for-night shots are pretty apparent and don\u2019t make the video look great. However, detail levels are alright while colors tend to be drab in keeping with the apocalyptic tone.<\/p>\n

The 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio track provided is adequate providing for crisp and clear dialogue which makes up for the bulk of the movie while some of the audio effects, limited as it is, provides for minimal depth.<\/p>\n

Overall, Aftermath<\/em><\/strong> is a well crafted, and altogether simply made, apocalyptic thriller that serves more as a psychological character study more than anything else, and certainly more than the cause of the nuclear attacks. The characters themselves can be on the clich\u00e9d side but still interesting enough to want to get through until the end. The Blu-ray has decent video and audio transfers but no special features were included.<\/p>\n
