Made just two years after his death, Che!<\/em><\/strong> Is the Hollywood version of the life of Argentinian doctor-turned-revolutionary Che Guevara (OMAR SHARIF), who became the legendary partner of revel fighter Fidel Castro (JACK PALANCE) in the ultimately successful Cuban Revolution.<\/p>\n

This release is fairly light with a Vintage Featurette (6:14; HD)<\/strong><\/span>, a TV Spot (0:21; HD)<\/strong><\/span> and the Theatrical Trailer (3:16; HD)<\/strong><\/span>. Also included is an Isolated Score Track<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

VIDEO \u2013 4.25\/5<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Che!<\/em><\/strong> marches onto Blu-ray presented in its original 2.35 widescreen aspect ratio and a 1080p high-definition transfer. Considering this is a 45 year old movie, I was impressed with the picture showing off vibrant colors and detail levels are fairly good and sharp. I did notice the occasional dust marks but it\u2019s minimal and unobtrusive.<\/p>\n

AUDIO \u2013 3.75\/5<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The DTS-HD Master Audio Stereo Mono track does have clear dialogue levels and even the action\/war scenes give some depth though obviously it is limited. Even so, it\u2019s a good lossless track and it\u2019s doubtful this movie has ever sounded better.<\/p>\n

OVERALL \u2013 2.5\/5<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Overall, the biographical drama Che!<\/em><\/strong> is kind of laughable with some shoddy performances, though not so much from Omar Sharif as Che but instead someone felt it was a good idea casting someone like Jack Palance as Fidel Castro. The Blu-ray released by Twilight Time has good video and audio transfers but falls flat in the bonus material department.<\/p>\n
