The picture actually isn\u2019t bad, though not entirely impressive because it\u2019s not exactly a transfer that has that \u201cpop\u201d, even compared with movies from the 1970s era. Still, detail levels aren\u2019t too bad, especially close-ups, and colors generally appear to be authentic and not bolstered.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" title=\"*\" src=\"http:\/\/www.moviemansguide.com\/images\/main\/bar_blue.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"650\" height=\"3\" \/><\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>AUDIO \u2013 3.75\/5<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The film\u2019s DTS-HD Master Audio Mono track is well done with solid and clear dialogue while even the more action centric scenes allow for a decent boost and depth even for a singular track. It\u2019s nothing special but I imagine sounds better than ever before.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" title=\"*\" src=\"http:\/\/www.moviemansguide.com\/images\/main\/bar_blue.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"650\" height=\"3\" \/><\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>OVERALL \u2013 3.5\/5<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Overall, <strong><em>The Mechanic<\/em><\/strong> was the perfect role for Charles Bronson who commonly was known for his roles in the <em>Death Wish<\/em> movies. His performance here was great and worked well opposite Jan-Michael Vincent.
