Ironclad: Battle for Blood<\/em><\/strong> fights its way onto Blu-ray presented with a 2.35 widescreen aspect ratio and a 1080p high-definition transfer. The picture here actually doesn\u2019t look too bad with good detail levels, some natural film noise and no obvious signs of artifacting or pixilation.<\/p>\n

AUDIO \u2013 4.25\/5<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio track also is relatively impressive showcasing the numerous fight scenes that utilize each speaker while dialogue, which is generally clear, is relegated to the center channel. Although the rear speakers aren\u2019t used as much, I did notice the aggressive score coming out of it.<\/p>\n

Overall, Ironclad: Battle for Blood<\/em><\/strong> is an unnecessary sequel and add to that, doesn\u2019t come close to having the talent the original did (Brian Cox, Kate Mara, Paul Giamatti, Jason Flemyng) but with the popularity of shows like \u201cGame of Thrones\u201d, it\u2019s a quick money grab by a smaller studio, though the quality this go around, both in terms of story and production values, isn\u2019t that great. The video and audio transfers are, however, decent enough while the solo featurette is pretty basic.<\/p>\n
