Raised by gorillas, Tarzan (voiced by KELLAN LUTZ) lives by the laws of the jungle \u2013 until he encounters another human being, the courageous and beautiful Jane Porter (SPENCER LOCKE). For Tarzan and Jane, it\u2019s love at first sight \u2013 and the beginning of a thrilling adventure \u2013 as Tarzan uses his instincts and intellect to protect his jungle home and the woman he loves.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"*\" src=\"http:\/\/www.moviemansguide.com\/images\/main\/bar_blue.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"650\" height=\"3\" \/><\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>SPECIAL FEATURES \u2013 2.25\/5<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This release comes with a glossy <strong>slip cover<\/strong> and inside the case is a standard <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>DVD Copy<\/strong><\/span> and a redemption code for the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Digital Copy<\/strong><\/span>. Additionally, this is, at the time of this writing, a Wal-Mart exclusive release.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Becoming Gorillas (7:19; HD<\/span>)<\/strong> is a pretty basic featurette containing some behind-the-scenes footage of the motion capture and some on-set interviews with the cast and crew.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>The Making of <em>Tarzan<\/em> (11:01; HD)<\/strong><\/span> delves a bit further into how the project came to be and has more BTS footage and interviews.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Behind the Scenes with Kellan Lutz and Spencer Locke (8:00; HD)<\/strong><\/span> provides some more footage with the two lead actors.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" title=\"*\" src=\"http:\/\/www.moviemansguide.com\/images\/main\/bar_blue.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"650\" height=\"3\" \/><\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>VIDEO \u2013 4.5\/5<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><em>Tarzan<\/em><\/strong> swings onto Blu-ray presented with a 1080p high-definition transfer and shown with a 2.40 widescreen aspect ratio. Like any new animated movie, the picture here is near pristine, colors are bright and have a certain pop and I noticed no obvious flaws such as artifacting.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" title=\"*\" src=\"http:\/\/www.moviemansguide.com\/images\/main\/bar_blue.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"650\" height=\"3\" \/><\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>AUDIO \u2013 4.25\/5<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio track is serviceable providing for clear dialogue levels coming through the center channel while the more action-oriented scenes do give some depth to this lossless track. It\u2019s nothing profound but it\u2019s more than adequate for the source material.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" title=\"*\" src=\"http:\/\/www.moviemansguide.com\/images\/main\/bar_blue.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"650\" height=\"3\" \/><\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>OVERALL \u2013 2.5\/5<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Overall, some of the animation in Lionsgate\u2019s <strong><em>Tarzan<\/em><\/strong> actually isn\u2019t bad&#8230; if kept at difference otherwise close-ups tend to reveal the creepy dead-eyes.
