When Zarina\u2019s wild ideas get her into trouble, she flees Pixie Hollow and joins forces with the scheming pirates of Skull Rock, who make her captain of their ship. The picture, as one would expect, looks nearly perfect with brilliantly bright colors and excellent detail level like any animated flick should. The only drawback I could find was there are some banding issues in transition scenes but it\u2019s not distracting or happens too often.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" title=\"*\" src=\"http:\/\/www.moviemansguide.com\/images\/main\/bar_blue.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"650\" height=\"3\" \/><\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>AUDIO \u2013 4.5\/5<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Surprisingly enough, this direct-to-video release got a 7.1 channel DTS-HD Master Audio track which serves the film well, though it\u2019s overly aggressive or dynamic. However, dialogue levels are solid and the sound effects, even by animation standards, isn\u2019t all too bad.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" title=\"*\" src=\"http:\/\/www.moviemansguide.com\/images\/main\/bar_blue.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"650\" height=\"3\" \/><\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>OVERALL \u2013 3.5\/5<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Overall, <strong><em>The Pirate Fairy<\/em><\/strong> actually isn\u2019t a bad little film that, albeit geared more toward the younger age group, has some good animation and voice work plus the story is well written.
