The stories are a lot of fun and I couldn\u2019t wait for the next episode; it\u2019s only a shame it got cancelled after only one season. The Blu-ray released through Warner Archive offers up solid video and audio transfers but it is unfortunate no bonus material was included.<\/p>\n

SERIES SUMMARY<\/strong><\/h2>\n

\u201cGreen Lantern\u201d<\/strong> shines bright in DC\u2019s radiant, groundbreaking CGI animated series. The Green Lantern Corps patrols the galaxy, fighting evil. But in the farthest reaches of deep space where few Lanterns patrol, a new evil is rising \u2013 the Red Lanterns! Hal Jordan (voiced by JOSH KEATON) and fellow Lantern Kilowog (KEVIN MICHAEL RICHARDSON) defy The Guardians of the Universe and board a new experimental spacecraft, the Interceptor, and race to the Guardian Frontier to face the evil Red Lanterns head-on.<\/p>\n

But a menace lurks beyond the Red Lantern invasion, and Hal, Kilowog and fellow Green Lanterns Tomar-Re and Aya discover an even greater evil that threatens to extinguish all life. It\u2019s an interstellar race to destroy the mechanical Manhunters, aid Saint Walker and his Blue Lanterns and stop the planet-eating Anti-Monitor.<\/p>\n

\u201cGreen Lanter\u201d: The Complete Series<\/strong> looks absolutely gorgeous in 1080p high-definition where colors have a tremendous pop off the screen and there are no major instances of banding which tend to occur with animated features. It\u2019s a solid transfer for this underrated series.

AUDIO \u2013 3.75\/5<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Also an upgrade, each episode has a DTS-HD MA Stereo track which, while not quite dynamic, does have some decent depth, dialogue levels are crisp and clear and the action scenes do pack a small punch from the front channels.<\/p>\n
