The video looks absolutely brilliant from the incredible and sharp detail levels, amazingly rich colors and just something, even though nearly 60 years old, appears to have received a careful restoration with no obvious signs of artifacts or pixilation.<\/p>\n

The movie includes a 2.0 DTS-HD Master Audio track which comes to life especially for the music numbers but also dialogue sounds crisp and clear and even ambient noises, like street sounds, comes through fairly well.<\/p>\n

Overall, The Eddy Duchin Story<\/em><\/strong> is a well acted, if a bit stretched out, music drama featuring fine performances from Tyrone Power in the title character role as well as Kim Novak. The Blu-ray released by Twilight Time may be limited in bonus material, something I found surprising not to even have a commentary track, but the audio and video transfers are nothing short of stunning.<\/p>\n
