When the obvious suspect is apprehended not far from the crime scene, the police think the case is solved, but they couldn\u2019t be more wrong. The real crime hasn\u2019t even happened yet. Before it\u2019s over, two desperate men (PHIFER and STERLING K. Neither are particularly great, and probably could\u2019ve been spliced together, but each provides different perspectives on the filmmaking process.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Conversation with Director Stuart Connelly (28:56; HD)<\/strong><\/span> is a behind-the-scenes featurette and interview with the writer\/director discussing the movie and its characters set against some BTS footage.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Music Video (3:44; HD)<\/strong><\/span> for \u201cHappy Endings\u201d by The Real Tuesday Weld<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Extended Scenes (17:14; HD)<\/strong><\/span> include several that were trimmed for one reason or another.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Making a Scene (7:52; HD)<\/strong><\/span> takes us behind the camera and looking how a scene comes together via storyboards and visual effects integration.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Theatrical Trailer (1:51; HD)<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" title=\"*\" src=\"http:\/\/www.moviemansguide.com\/images\/main\/bar_blue.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"650\" height=\"3\" \/><\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>VIDEO \u2013 4.25\/5<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>RLJ Entertainment distributes <strong><em>The Suspect<\/em><\/strong> onto Blu-ray presented with a 2.35 widescreen aspect ratio and a 1080p high-definition transfer. Aside from some obvious instances of banding, this picture doesn\u2019t look all that bad where detail levels are sharp and colors appear to be well balanced.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" title=\"*\" src=\"http:\/\/www.moviemansguide.com\/images\/main\/bar_blue.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"650\" height=\"3\" \/><\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>AUDIO \u2013 4.0\/5<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The movie includes a bombastic (not a in a good way) 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio track. Although most of the dialogue and ambient noises make use of the front and center channels, it\u2019s not exactly a robust track with audio evenly dispersed rather than favoring one speaker.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" title=\"*\" src=\"http:\/\/www.moviemansguide.com\/images\/main\/bar_blue.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"650\" height=\"3\" \/><\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>OVERALL \u2013 3.0\/5<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Overall, <strong><em>The Suspect<\/em><\/strong>, despite a somewhat convoluted story, isn\u2019t all that bad of a film thanks in large part to two great performances from Mekhi Phifer and William Sadler who play off one another so well.
