Plot Outline: <\/b>For generations, it was an urban legend that lived in the nightmares of the children (and no, it\u2019s not Freddy Krueger!). Now, the season to rejuvenate the tale will revive a town\u2019s darkest fears. With the Scarecrow Festival on the horizon, school teacher Aaron Harris (ROBIN DUNNE) is doling out punishment for six students a.k.a. bodies for the Scarecrow (NICOLE MUNOZ, BRITTNEY WILSON, REILLY DOLMAN, IAIN BELCHER, RICHARD HARMON and JULIA MAXWELL); their task: help their friend Kristen\u2019s (LACEY CHABERT) family farm take down the fake scarecrow back to town before the farm is sold. But the cornfields circling the farm come with a legend: it never sleeps, it never dies, it can\u2019t be stopped, hear their cries. The Scarecrow lives to kill us all. Keep it buried in the fall…<\/i><\/p>\n

While the kids are playing a terrifying game of cat and mouse in the cornfield, Kristen tries to convince them that the Scarecrow is very real, rejuvenated by the blood of its prey \u2013 and proof comes all too soon. As darkness falls over Miller Farm, the horrified prisoners\u2019 hopes of fending off the flesh-ripping terrors of the Scarecrow seem like a distant prayer.<\/p>\n

Quick Hit Review: <\/b>The banner on the front cover says it all: \u201cSyfy Original Movie\u201d. It\u2019s bad all around to the point even the cute and adorable Lacey Chabert, all grown up from her days on \u201cParty of Five\u201d, god bless her soul, tries her best and seemed to give a damn despite a terrible script with clich\u00e9d characters serving only to be kills for the CGI-rendered Scarecrow monster.<\/p>\n

<\/em><\/strong><\/em><\/strong>Scarecrow<\/i><\/b> arrives on DVD presented in 16×9 enhanced video and like any cheaply made movie, it doesn\u2019t look the greatest and does have some instances of pixilation and colors tend to be a bit dull at times.

On the plus side, the Dolby Digital 5.1 track packed quite the punch from beginning to end between the blood-curdling screams, the generic horror score and the action scenes. The track is actually pretty impressive with the LFE track actually getting a bit of a workout as well.<\/p>\n
