Whisked to Peru holding a sacred key, Tad helps Professor Layrof (MAC MCDONALD) and his beautiful daughter Sara (ARIEL WINTER) as they race against evil treasure hunters in search of the Lost City of Paititi.<\/p>\n

Warner Home Video, via Paramount, releases Jennifer Eight<\/i><\/b> onto Blu-ray presented with an open matted 1.78 widescreen aspect ratio (originally 1.85) and a decent 1080p high-def transfer. This one is a bit tricky to judge. First, there\u2019s little doubt that this is a solid upgrade over its DVD counterpart, and while the detail levels are quite good, there is a fair amount of grain that, unlike others I\u2019ve seen, don\u2019t exactly look natural. Even so, colors do seem well balanced, the black levels are excellent and I noticed no instances of artifacting, dust marks or scratches.<\/p>\n

AUDIO \u2013 4.25\/5<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The disc includes a standard 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio provides some crisp and clear dialogue levels while the more action-oriented elements has relative intensity for an animated feature.<\/p>\n

Overall, Tad: The Lost Explorer<\/i><\/b> is a harmless animated adventure the entire family can enjoy and the animation itself is fairly impressive especially for a studio outside of the big three or four (i.e. Disney, Fox, DreamWorks). The 3D BD\/BD\/DVD combo pack released by Vivendi Entertainment, in an exclusive distribution deal to Wal-Mart, doesn\u2019t have any features but the video\/audio transfers are nice.<\/p>\n
