The picture here is a mixed bag because although the detail clarity isn\u2019t bad, there are heavy levels of noise beyond the norm, and at times it\u2019s a dirty quality. Even so, I didn\u2019t notice any signs of pixilation or artifacting and on the whole, it\u2019s an improvement over the DVD.<br \/>\n<a name=\"audio\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" title=\"*\" src=\"http:\/\/www.moviemansguide.com\/images\/main\/bar_blue.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"650\" height=\"3\" \/><\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>AUDIO \u2013 3.75\/5<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio track doesn\u2019t have a wide range but is serviceable for a comedy. Dialogue sounds clear enough and things do pick up whenever there\u2019s music but it\u2019s fairly minimal. This is a fine lossless track but hardly dynamic.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" title=\"*\" src=\"http:\/\/www.moviemansguide.com\/images\/main\/bar_blue.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"650\" height=\"3\" \/><br \/>\n<a name=\"overall\"><\/a><\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>OVERALL \u2013 3.0\/5<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Overall, <strong><em>Sweet Home Alabama<\/em><\/strong> is a fine romantic comedy that at least at times breaks the genre mold. Reese Witherspoon plays her usual role as a sassy character but she\u2019s still charming and for his part, Josh Lucas serves as a suitable love interest. The Blu-ray is average fare for a catalogue title with some basic features and adequate audio and video transfers.
