Longing for freedom, Scamp ventures far from home and meets a lovely, reluctant stray named Angel. She introduces him to the Junkyard Dogs, led by streetwise Buster. When Buster challenges Scamp to the ultimate test of a collar-free life, Scamp finds himself torn between a world of adventure and love for the family he&#8217;s left behind.<\/p>\n<p><a name=\"features\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"*\" src=\"http:\/\/www.moviemansguide.com\/images\/main\/bar_blue.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"650\" height=\"3\" \/><\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>SPECIAL FEATURES \u2013 2.5\/5<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The Blu-ray release comes in a glossy, reflective slip cover.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Puppy Trivia Track<\/span><\/strong> runs during the movie and gives viewers information about nearly everything.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">The Making of <em>Lady and the Tramp II<\/em>: From Tramp to Scamp (16:34; SD)<\/span><\/strong> is an interesting featurette showing where the idea for sequel came from, animating it, scoring and recording voice actors. The movie might not be any good, but I liked watching the process.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Sing-Along Songs<\/span><\/strong> allows kids to sing to 5 songs from the movie.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Bonus Shorts<\/span><\/strong> include \u2018Pluto, Junior\u2019, \u2018Bone Trouble\u2019 and \u2018Pluto\u2019s Kid Brother\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>Last up is an <strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Audio Commentary<\/span><\/strong> with Director Darrell Rooney, Animation Director Steve Trenbirth and Co-Director\/Producer Jeannine Roussel. Easily the best feature on the disc, not saying much I know, the track gives behind-the-scenes and anecdotal info about the film and taking inspirations from the original.<\/p>\n<p>Also included is a standard <strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">DVD Copy<\/span><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" title=\"*\" src=\"http:\/\/www.moviemansguide.com\/images\/main\/bar_blue.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"650\" height=\"3\" \/><\/p>\n<p><a name=\"video\"><\/a><\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>VIDEO \u2013 4.0\/5<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong><em>Lady and the Tramp II<\/em><\/strong> scamps around and finds love inside a Blu-ray case. Given this is a \u201cnewer\u201d title, it\u2019s not a big surprise that the transfer, presented in its original 1.78 widescreen aspect ratio, looks pretty good. However, it\u2019s also got a bit of the cheaper quality that permeates a lot of Disney\u2019s direct-to-video releases. The colors seem to be well balanced and I didn\u2019t notice much in the way of dust, scratches or banding which is the biggest obstacle in an animated Blu-ray.<br \/>\n<a name=\"audio\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" title=\"*\" src=\"http:\/\/www.moviemansguide.com\/images\/main\/bar_blue.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"650\" height=\"3\" \/><\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>AUDIO \u2013 3.5\/5<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The 5.1 DTS-HD MA transfer sounds OK with most of the action taking place in the center channel for dialogue while the musical elements help the lossless track pick up some steam. It\u2019s nothing outstanding but serviceable.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" title=\"*\" src=\"http:\/\/www.moviemansguide.com\/images\/main\/bar_blue.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"650\" height=\"3\" \/><br \/>\n<a name=\"overall\"><\/a><\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>OVERALL \u2013 3.25\/5<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Overall, <strong><em>Lady and the Tramp II: Scamp\u2019s Adventure<\/em><\/strong> is another unnecessary direct-to-video from Disney. It tries to harp back to the nostalgia of the original but it falls flat at each stretch of the lame story.
