THE MOVIE \u2014 3\u00bd\/5<\/span><\/h3>\n

Plot synopsis:<\/strong> Only one man has the particular set of skills… to lead Police Squad and save the world: Lt. Frank Drebin Jr. (LIAM NEESON). Following in his father\u2019s footsteps, he must solve a murder case to prevent Police Squad from closure.<\/p>\n

Quick Hit Review: As a big fan of The Naked Gun<\/em> franchise, as well as the (very) short-lived TV series it was based on, I wasn\u2019t entirely sure what to make of this quasi-reboot though I had little doubt Liam Neeson would have the deadpan comedic chops to lead, and I guess an additional bit of comedy that Neeson, who\u2019s in his 70s, being the son of Drebin. But what we got was a mixture of the screwball comedy of the originals with a bit of a new flare of the more modern comedy.<\/p>\n

As it stands, I did find this to be a good time and with a short running time it never overstays its welcome and Neeson for his part was great as was Pamela Anderson having wonderful chemistry. I also really enjoyed Danny Huston as the villain alongside Kevin Durand as his right-hand man.<\/p>\n

While I don\u2019t think The Naked Gun<\/em> (2025)<\/strong> is some sort of comedic masterpiece and doesn\u2019t stand up to the 1988 original, but I did laugh from start to finish which it all you can ask for on a movie like this. Considering the modest box office success, I am interested in a sequel, maybe lampooning comedy sequels.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

    Paramount releases The Naked Gun<\/em><\/strong> onto 4K Ultra HD and presented in the original 2.39 widescreen aspect ratio and a 2160p high-definition transfer. As a slapstick comedy it\u2019s of course bright and quite colorful while detail is sharp and well defined.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

    This comedic-centric movie does get a strong Dolby Atmos track which might be a bit overkill but still offers good dialogue levels and when there is action there is some nice depth.
