On the surface, Le Mepris<\/em><\/strong> is about a director (MICHEL PICCOLI) whose wife Camille (BRIGITTE BARDOT) falls out of love with him while he rewrites an adaptation of Homer\u2019s \u201cThe Odyssey\u201d for an American producer (JACK PALANCE). But underneath this tale of a doomed romance lies director Jean-Luc Godard\u2019s true subject: the commercial film industry, which he skewers.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

Released by Lionsgate, Le Mepris<\/em><\/strong> is presented here in its original 2.35 widescreen aspect ratio and given a 2160p high-definition transfer. Although the back cover doesn\u2019t mention anything on any sort of restoration presumably this was provided as-is, but even so, the picture does look phenomenal with sharp, well defined, detail throughout while colors are evenly balanced with some nice vibrancy.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
