If murderous renegades don\u2019t get them, poisonous clouds or deadly sunbursts will. The year is 2053. The atmosphere is lethal and people are literally fighting for survival. When iron-eyed bounty hunter Harry M. Stark (MICHAEL IRONSIDE) has to transport a tough and sexy lady outlaw (VANITY) to another jurisdiction \u2013 they\u2019re in for the ride of their lives. Harry, his beautiful prisoner and six unwitting civilians board an armored transport vehicle driven by an ex-con named Bulk (LYLE ALZADO). Along the way, they will be forced to battle for their lives \u2013 but through gunfire and grisly death, unlikely heroes will be born, ugly secrets will be resolved and long-lost loves will be found. Neon City<\/em><\/strong> comes to Blu-ray from Kino Lorber where it\u2019s shown in its original 1.85 widescreen aspect ratio and a new 1080p high-definition transfer, which was taken from a new HD master of a 2K scan of the 35mm Interpositive. The picture here might not look exactly \u2018stunning\u2019 but with the natural film grain helps showcase the post-apocalyptic atmosphere and the more natural color palette. The scan appears to be clean as I didn\u2019t notice any obvious scratches or dust marks.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

The movie comes equipped with a rather effective and efficient DTS-HD Master Audio 2.0 track and, considering the film\u2019s age and perhaps okay budget, I was still impressed. Dialogue comes across pretty clearly and the depth was decent especially when we\u2019re thrust into the city environment but also in the desert scenes in the opening and finale.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
