Plot Synopsis: <\/strong>When a hood’s murder triggers a bloody gangland drug war, detective Remy McSwain (DENNIS QUAID) is on the scene. He’s a smooth-talkin’ cop who fits right in with the easy style of Cajun country. Remy meets his match in Anne Osborne (ELLEN BARKIN), a no-nonsense Assistant District Attorney in town to investigate police corruption. At odds from the moment they meet, their electrically charged attraction keeps the sparks flying.<\/p>\n

Quick Hit Review: The Big Easy<\/em><\/strong> is an enjoyable yet also pretty forgettable romantic-suspense-thriller with Dennis Quaid and Ellen Barkin showing some great chemistry together and there\u2019s enough of a plot, albeit predictable, to keep one entertained. This is one of the those films that is worth watching once but not worth a second viewing.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

Kino Lorber releases The Big Easy<\/em><\/strong> onto Blu-ray where it\u2019s presented with a 1080p high-definition transfer and in its original 1.85 widescreen aspect ratio. Since there\u2019s no mention on the back cover, there doesn\u2019t appear any restoration work was done. Even so, detail on this was decent enough while colors are well balanced if not on the darker side of the spectrum.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
