In the underbelly of lower Manhattan, Frannie Avery (MEG RYAN), a reserved English professor, becomes obsessed after seeing more than she should of an impassioned couple. After the young woman turns up dead, Frannie is questioned by a homicide detective (MARK RUFFALO) who draws her into a liberating but disturbing erotic encounter. In the Cut<\/em><\/strong> comes to Blu-ray from Mill Creek though this was already released as part of a 2-film set with Trapped<\/em>. This is likely the same transfer and as such this looks fine in high-definition but not exactly exceptional as it is a darkly lit movie with lots of handheld camera work. Detail, when the image was stable, was okay while colors are very tampered down.<\/p>\n

The disc includes a basic DTS-HD Master Audio 2.0 track which offers fine dialogue levels and the depth is more than adequate.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
