PLOT SYNOPSIS<\/span><\/h3>\n

We first meet L\u00e9na (ISABELLE HUPPERT) in 1942, a young Jewish woman in an internment camp run by the Vichy authorities. She accepts a proposal of marriage by one of the camp workers in the hopes of escaping deportation to Nazi Germany. They escape on foot, crossing the Alps to Italy, and settle in Lyon after the war to raise two daughters. At a school event she meets another mother, Madeleine (MIOU-MIOU), a charismatic artist, and the two forms a special bond that offers the promise of escaping the mundane domestic life they’ve grown dissatisfied with.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

Kino Lorber releases Entre Nous<\/em><\/strong> onto Blu-ray presented in the film\u2019s original 2.35 widescreen aspect ratio and given a new 1080p high-definition transfer taken from a 4K restoration. The picture here does look brilliant, detail is sharp and very nicely defined while colors are bright without appearing oversaturated or artificially pumped up. The natural film grain has also been retained giving this good texture.<\/p>\n

The movie comes with a French-language DTS-HD Master Audio 2.0 Mono track. It\u2019s a solid track offering up clear dialogue and decent depth for a singular channel and I did not notice any discernible or obvious signs of hisses or other ailments.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
