Making Hotel du Nord<\/em> (33:14)<\/u><\/strong> \u2014 Airing on television in 1972, this includes interviews with Carne, Screenwriter Henri Jeanson, and Actors Arletty and Jean-Pierre Aumont.<\/p>\n

Hotel du Nord<\/em><\/strong> comes to Blu-ray from The Criterion Collection presented in the original 1.37 full frame aspect ratio and given a new 1080p high-definition transfer. This is brilliant looking picture, detail is sharp and well defined throughout and showcases a nice balance between the blacks, whites and grays. There were no obvious signs of artifacts, aliasing or other flaws making yet another wonderful restoration work from Criterion.<\/p>\n

The movie comes with a French language PCM Mono track which I found to sound pretty fantastic; dialogue comes across with great clarity and really no discernible bouts of pops or hisses. And even for a singular track, there is some okay depth with background noises.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
