Plot Synopsis: <\/strong>Weeks after a deadly assault on Fortress Camp, Robert (BRUCE WILLIS) makes a daring rescue to save Sasha (NATALI YARI), the widow of his old nemesis, Balzary (CHAD MICHAEL MURRAY). But back in the camp\u2019s compound bunker, it appears Sasha may have plans of her own, and as a new attack breaks out, Robert is confronted with a familiar face he never thought he\u2019d see again.<\/p>\n

Quick Hit Review: Fortress: Sniper\u2019s Eye<\/em><\/strong> is a sequel to the film released last year and \u201cstars\u201d Bruce Willis reprising his role along with Jesse Metcalfe, Chad Michael Murray, Kelly Greyson and others. I knew what to expect going, a boring slog of an action-thriller that has zero entertainment value littered with bad dialogue and bland acting, including Willis who spent a good amount time in a hospital bed.<\/p>\n

Not much else to really say about this with the only positive being that it\u2019s mercifully only 82-minutes (without credits) and of that, probably 4-5 minutes of flashbacks to the first film. Nobody comes out of this unscathed, though I will say Chad Michael Murray had that \u201caw f-it\u201d performance and had a couple fun moments. That said, given Bruce Willis\u2019 diagnosis of aphasia, I will give him some slack. Otherwise, the sequel rehashes some of the same plot elements of the last one and has just as many clunky action scenes.<\/p>\n

Fortress: Sniper\u2019s Eye<\/em><\/strong> (and don\u2019t ask me, no idea what that title means) was directed by Josh Sternfled whose last movie was 12 years ago while the screenplay was written by Alan Horsnail who also scripted the first film along with Midnight in the Switchgrass<\/em> from a story by actor Emile Hirsch and Randall Emmett, the latter better known for producing most of these crappy DTV features.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

The 1080p high-definition transfer for Fortress: Sniper\u2019s Eye<\/em><\/strong> doesn\u2019t look all that well in HD, detail at best is acceptable and that\u2019s mostly on close-ups as everything else looks out of focus or just plain ugly. Colors are okay I suppose but that\u2019s faint praise.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

The movie includes a DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 track which is serviceable with dialogue coming across the majority of time sounding a bit fuzzy (probably the poor on-set sound design) while the action scenes hardly have any depth. I don\u2019t remember exactly but I think this was an issue on the first film as well.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
