During the 1920s, three New York girls pursue careers performing in the iconic Ziegfeld Follies. Susan (JUDY GARLAND) is a vaudeville performer who desires nothing more than a shot at the big time. Sheila (LANA TURNER), who works as an elevator girl, is granted an audition with Flo Ziegfeld himself. And Sandra (HEDY LAMARR) draws the eye of a dance director after her husband auditions for a position in the orchestra. Ziegfeld Girl<\/em><\/strong> debuts on Blu-ray through the Warner Archive Collection and is presented in its original 1.37 full frame aspect ratio. The 1080p high-definition transfer was taken from a new 4K scan of the best preservation elements. No surprise but this is another great picture from Warner, detail is sharp and well defined, the blacks and whites are nicely balanced and there were no obvious or apparent flaws like dust marks, specs, etc.<\/p>\n

The included DTS-HD Master Audio 2.0 Mono track is, as with the others in the Archive Collection, very solid with crisp and clear dialogue coming across and some good depth during the musical numbers mot notably. There is some minor hissing or white noise however it\u2019s nothing distracting.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
