Plot Synopsis: <\/strong>An American archaeologist (DON TAYLOR) and his partner (EDUARDO CIANNELLI) are captured by a lost tribe of women warriors\u2019 intent on turning the men into their \u201clove slaves.\u201d Together with another captive, Gina, they must escape from the lustful clutches of the Amazons if they hope to return to civilization.<\/p>\n

Quick Hit Review: Love Slaves of the Amazons<\/em><\/strong> might have a quirky even enticing title but the end result of the studio quasi-exploitation adventure film was one dull watch. The Brazilian locales weren\u2019t bad however once we get to the titular Amazonians it\u2019s the cheap 1950s set design. Beyond that, there\u2019s really not much else, thin story, average acting and a dance sequence that felt like it went on for 10-minutes. I\u2019m not sure who this was made for (maybe an executive with a fetish for green-painted women?) but this is not one I\u2019ll ever want to revisit, not even any good-bad moments.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

Kino Lorber releases Love Slaves of the Amazons<\/em><\/strong> onto Blu-ray, presented in its original 2.00 aspect ratio and a 1080p high-definition transfer, which was taken from a brand new 2K master. For the most part the picture here does look quite good; detail is sharp throughout especially on most close-ups and colors well balanced. There were some minor specs here and there but I would have to think this movie has never looked better.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

The included DTS-HD Master Audio 2.0 track which, save for a notable bout of hissing in one scene, sounded great. Dialogue comes through with good clarity and the depth for a stereo track was satisfactory, particularly with the score or when a main character finally makes it to the Amazon women\u2019s hangout and you can hear their giggles.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
