Now, twelve years later, after several mysterious murders, David Madison (ROBERT FORSTER) is on the case to find out who&#8230; or what&#8230; is killing people.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Quick Hit Review: <em>Alligator<\/em><\/strong> isn\u2019t a great movie and the scenes with the fake alligator were a bit goofy but I thought this horror-thriller, directed by Lewis Teague (<em>Cujo<\/em>, <em>The Jewel of the Nile<\/em>), was pretty entertaining with a fun performance from Robert Forster. All of these offer their memories working on <em>Alligator<\/em> but Bryan Cranston is amazing and provides a great story on his encounter with Robert Forster as the film\u2019s special effects assistant assistant assistant (yes, that far down the totem pole). On both formats, these are new transfers, taken from a scan in 4K from the original negative. I watched the entire movie in 4K so that\u2019s where my main focus is, this picture looks fantastic, sharp detail throughout, the natural film grain and noise still present and colors well balanced, with some minor aid from the HDR10. In addition, the video appears to be clean with no apparent signs of artifacting, aliasing, banding or other ailments.
