Rocky Sullivan (JAMES CAGNEY) and Jerry Connolly (PAT O\u2019BRIEN) were brought up in one of New York’s toughest neighborhoods, Hell’s Kitchen. While his buddy Rocky gets caught up in racketeering in reform school, Jerry decides to become a priest. Years later, Rocky is released from prison and returns to Hell’s Kitchen, where Jerry works with at-risk children. Warner Bros. through their Archive Collection releases Angels with Dirty Faces<\/em><\/strong> onto Blu-ray presented with a new 1080p high-definition transfer taken from a 4K scan of the original nitrate camera negative. As always with the Archive Collection, this picture looks stunning. The black and white presentation is sharp and nicely defined throughout with the natural film grain still intact and outside of a few minor specs, is fairly clean.<\/p>\n

The disc includes a DTS-HD Master Audio 2.0 Mono track. Dialogue comes across with relative clarity and some minor depth for the cityscape sounds along with the music and score. Nothing phenomenal but when you consider this is a movie going on nearly 75 years old, it\u2019s still impressive.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
