PLOT SYNOPSIS<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

At a wild party during the \u201860s, baby Thomas Henry Butterfly Rainbow Peace (a.k.a. the 15th Duke of Bournemouth) is accidentally \u201cmisplaced\u201d by his rich hippie mom and dad. When the wrong baby is claimed, the real heir winds up being raised by a poor Pakistani family, while their \u201cheir apparent\u201d grows up in America with a silver spoon in his mouth. Once Tommy Patel (ERIC IDLE) learns that he, not Hnery Martin (RICK MORANIS) is the true Duke of Bournemouth, he\u2019ll do anything to get back what he\u2019s lost. Fortunately for Henry, Tommy\u2019s a pretty inept assassin. Unfortunately for them both, Tommy\u2019s seedy lawyer Shodgrind (JOHN CLEESE) is a tad more adept. Add to the mix a scandalous, nymphomaniacal duchess (BARBARA HERSHEY), a gorgeous golddigger (CATHERINE ZETA-JONES), plus a load of assorted loonies, and you have a Pythonesque cavalcade of silliness.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

Mill Creek Entertainment releases Splitting Heirs<\/em><\/strong> onto Blu-ray and is presented with a 1.85 widescreen aspect ratio and given a 1080p high-definition transfer. For the most part this video, which probably was supplied by Universal and received no restoration work, looks fairly good with decent enough detail and colors appear well balanced. There is some dust marks and specs that show up but otherwise isn\u2019t distracting and likely this is a fair upgrade over the DVD version released in 2010 and later, 2015.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

The disc includes a DTS-HD Master Audio 2.0 track which was surprisingly strong with clear dialogue and some fine depth for a movie and stereo track. Nothing amazing but more than satisfactory enough.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
