Grand Guignol theater actress Yvonne Orlac (FRANCES DRAKE) is married to concert pianist Stephen (COLIN CLIVE) and plans to take a break from acting to tour with him. However, Dr. Gogol (PETER LORRE), her biggest fan, won’t let her go so easily. When Stephen’s hands are destroyed in an accident, Dr. Gogol’s obsession with Yvonne leads him to replace Stephen’s hands with those of a knife-wielding murderer who was sentenced to death. Warner Bros. releases Mad Love<\/em><\/strong> through their Archive Collection line where it\u2019s shown in the original 1.37 full frame aspect ratio and given a new 1080p high-definition transfer which was taken from a 4K scan of the best preservation elements. This is another brilliant looking picture; detail is incredibly sharp and well defined the natural film grain and noise still retained. The black and white meanwhile is nicely balanced throughout and there were no noticeable or apparent dust marks or scratches.<\/p>\n

The disc comes with a DTS-HD Master Audio 2.0 Mono track which has some minor hissing but nothing overly distracting while the dialogue levels was crisp and clean, with some minor depth but more than adequate for a track like this.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
