Synopsis: Rugrats<\/em><\/strong> reveals the world from a baby’s point of view. Everything looks bigger, more mysterious and uncontrollable. Angelica (CHERYL CHASE), the oldest, likes to terrorize her cousin, Tommy (ELIZABETH DAILY), and his friends, and is famous for screaming, “You stupid babies!” The adults in the series are often clueless.<\/p>\n

Quick Hit Review: Rugrats<\/em><\/strong> wasn\u2019t a shot I watched during its 9 season airing from 1991 through 2003, not sure why, probably because I likely was watching shows on the Disney Channel or regular content on the network (i.e. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles<\/em>, The Real Ghostbusters<\/em>, etc.) rather than Nickelodeon. Watching it now, and with zero nostalgia, at times it has chuckle worthy moments though the animation, early on especially, was a bit crude (same could be said of The Simpsons<\/em> which debuted only a couple years prior to this).<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

This 26-disc set comes housed in an extra-extra wide keep case with seasons 1-5 on one side and 6-9 on the other, in spindles, though these are not removable unlike some of the other complete series sets Paramount has released in the past. Features include a few featurettes<\/strong>: \u201cRunaway Reptar\u201d, \u201cAll Growed Up\u201d, \u201cBabies in Toyland\u201d as well as two Tales from the Crib<\/strong>: \u201cSnow White\u201d and \u201cThree Jacks & a Beanstalk\u201d.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

The video quality of this isn\u2019t always the best but pretty much on par with any early DVD transfers, especially for shows that aired in the 1990s (I imagine the first few seasons of The Simpsons<\/em> probably were less than striking). However, the video does get better as the series went along so I will say it\u2019s more than adequate.<\/p>\n

Each episode has a Dolby Digital 2.0 track. Nothing incredible but serviceable with dialogue coming across with good clarity.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
