The Rental<\/em><\/strong> arrives on Blu-ray from Shout Factory and shown with a 2.39 widescreen aspect ratio and a 1080p high-definition transfer. There\u2019s nothing noteworthy about the video, especially for a new release, even for a low budget film like this. Even so, detail at least is well defined, most notably the close-ups with focus becoming softer with the more distant shots. Colors are decent but not entirely vibrant however the beautiful Oregon (my home state) coastal setting does come across quite nicely.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

The DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 track is basic but effective. Dialogue comes across with good clarity and there\u2019s some nice depth for the locale and once the terror starts inside the home. Nothing that wow you, but is efficient enough for the kind of movie this is.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
