Out-of-work vaudevillians Willie (BERT WHEELER) and Elmer (ROBERT WOOLSEY) somehow become Spanky\u2019s (GEORGE MCFARLAND) guardians and think they\u2019ve come into a fortune when Spanky inherits a farm in Kentucky. What they don\u2019t know is that the farm sits directly in the line of fire in a feud between the Milfords and the Wakefields. Now, as Willie falls in love with the beautiful Gloria Wakefield (MARY CARLISLE) and the pair manage to arrange a truce, young Spanky reignites the war between the two families.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

The film is presented with a black & white picture and its original 1.37 aspect ratio and given a new 1080p high-definition transfer. As with most Warner Archive releases, this is pretty brilliant looking, detail is sharp, black levels stark and the natural film grain and noise has been retained.<\/p>\n

The disc comes with the WAC standard DTS-HD Master Audio Mono track which outputs good dialogue levels as well as the music, songs and soundtrack. Nothing incredible but still impressive enough for an 80+ year old movie.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
