THE MOVIE<\/strong> \u2013 3.75\/5<\/strong><\/h2>\n

This \u201ccollection\u201d contains the three previous individual releases. I\u2019m not going to go into a whole lot of detail but will reproduce my thoughts on the show itself and then breakdown what\u2019s on each disc.<\/p>\n

\"\"I accidently discovered \u201ciCarly\u201d<\/strong> while channel surfing and with nothing else to do, decided to give it a try since I think basically missed out on watching the thinly plotted kids\/tween shows at a younger age. To my surprise, it\u2019s not half bad with some truly funny, albeit obvious, scenes and situations. What I also enjoyed was it never takes itself too seriously tackling such issues as \u201cWill Carly have to move?\u201d, \u201cWill Spencer be able to clean up the mess before so and so happens?\u201d, etc. This is probably the antithesis of \u201cDegrassi\u201d and quite frankly, I\u2019m happy both shows exist showcasing both ends of the spectrum of tween entertainment.<\/p>\n

Personally, I kind of like the innocent nature of the show. No, it\u2019s not a great tween show like the aforementioned \u201cDegrassi\u201d<\/strong>, not by a mile, but it is a show I can click on and just watch without a) having to know anything about previous stories and b) can turn off my brain and have some fun, even with some of the ridiculous moments, most of which involve Carly\u2019s older brother (JERRY TRAINOR).<\/p>\n

Obviously if you can\u2019t stand any of these Nickelodeon\/Disney tween series, then \u201ciCarly\u201d<\/strong> will no doubt annoy you but for me I enjoyed it a lot and will probably catch more of it in the future if I find it on the grid.<\/p>\n

iCarly: iFight Shelby Marx<\/em> (2009) (139 minutes)<\/p>\n

Watch as Carly (MIRANDA COSGROVE) steps up to an exhibition match, scores an interview with one of the best fighters in mixed martial arts, dates a new hottie, and gives props to some of the most awesome user-generated videos ever seen on iCarly.com!<\/p>\n

Episodes include: \u201ciFight Shelby Marx\u201d, \u201ciLook Alike\u201d, \u201ciDate a Bad Boy\u201d and \u201ciCarly Awards\u201d.<\/p>\n

iCarly: iSaved Your Life<\/em> (2010) (149 minutes)<\/p>\n

He\u2019s sweet, polite and… okay, definitely too gullible at times, but Freddie Benson (NATHAN KRESS) keeps things running smoothly on iCarly. Always the center of Sam\u2019s (JENNETTE MCURDY) constant ridicule, and the son of a completely overbearing mom, this loveable boy-next-door catches a lucky break! Freddie\u2019s dreams come true when he saves Carly\u2019s life, and she falls in love with him!<\/p>\n

Carly and the crew venture to a training facility to test their space survival abilities. Can they hack being \"\"locked in a space pod for 36 hours? On top of the space madness, the iCarly insanity continues as Sam reveals a shocking secret, Gibby threatens to fight Freddie, the friends try to find Bigfoot, and so much more!<\/p>\n

The DVD has four very short (6:52 total) and mundane featurettes: Welcome to My Boat (1:59)<\/span><\/strong>, Window Stunt (1:36)<\/span><\/strong>, Birthday (1:48)<\/span><\/strong> and Meet Chuck (1:29)<\/span><\/strong>. Don\u2019t even bother with these…<\/p>\n

iCarly: iSpace Out<\/em> \u2013 0.5\/5<\/p>\n

The disc only contains a Trivia<\/span><\/strong> pop-up that plays with \u2018iSpace Out\u2019, a Bonus Episode of \u201cVictorious\u201d (23:41)<\/span><\/strong> and a Digital Copy<\/span><\/strong> download code for all the episodes.<\/p>\n

<\/em><\/strong>Each episode, save for \u2018iFight Shelby Marx\u2019 and \u2018iQuit iCarly\u2019, is presented in Full Frame 1.33 aspect ratio. I still don\u2019t understand why if the show airs on Nick HD in 16×9 widescreen, that couldn\u2019t have been transferred to these DVDs.
