A tall-tale teller is “Dead Wrong” when he identifies Hoss and Candy as notorious bank robbers, a big-hearted little man is a hero and discovers “It’s a Small World” (both written and directed by Michael Landon), and in a trio of tense Western tales, the Cartwrights rely on a conflicted ex-lawman “To Stop a War,” shelter “The Witness,” and Candy has an unlikely romance in “The Stalker.”<\/p>\n

A future teen heartthrob learns a lesson in “The Law and Billy Burgess,” and when a young lady asks, “Is There Any Man Here…?”, it’s a rare romance for the Ponderosa’s Patriarch. Virginia City’s most famous chanteuse accepts a “Return Engagement,” Little Joe perfects social distancing in the riveting story, “A Matter of Circumstance,” and Hoss dons an unforgettable costume in “Caution: Easter Bunny Crossing.”<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

Both volume sets received new restorations from the original film elements and they truly looked great with vivid yet still time period appropriate colors and outside of some minor specs and film damage, but nothing egregious. The included Dolby Digital Mono track is impressive outputting clear dialogue levels with no major instances of pops or hissing.
