Plot Synopsis: <\/strong>Hiding out with his son Taylor on the Mexican coast, Nero (SCOTT ADKINS) hopes to put his violent Special Forces career behind him. But after his home is attacked and Taylor is abducted, the mysterious Mzamo (MARIO VAN PEEBLES) orders Nero to slaughter the members of three rival crime syndicates. If he fails, Taylor will die. With bullets flying and bodies dropping, Nero must now complete his mission \u2014 and find Mzamo\u2019s hideout, to exact his revenge.<\/p>\n

Quick Hit Review: Seized<\/em><\/strong> is a simple suspense-thriller that breaks absolutely no new ground but still is a passable film worth checking out if you have a spare 80-minutes. The acting is fine I suppose, Scott Adkins shows he has the skills to be a believable fighter and all around bad ass even if the script fails him while Mario Van Peebles\u2026 puts on a cartoonish Mexican accent. The stunts were actually okay and the story was thin and a bit ludicrous but serves as the vessel for a high body count with a splattering side of CGI blood.<\/p>\n

Directed by Isaac Florentine, who previous helmed Adkins in Close Range<\/em>, and a script from Rico Lowry, Seized<\/em><\/strong> at least was a tad better than I expected. It\u2019s not technically good but a passable thriller to watch on a slow Saturday afternoon with nothing on the grid that captures your attention.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
